So I was told today that I had to listen to others, that I didn't know everything. I joked around for a lil saying yes I did and all but then they told me that some people think I am hard to work with when it comes to things because I believe that I am always right and that I cant be wrong. This was interesting for me to hear really..But when I thought about it, it would be nice if I was always right. To address the quote, I believe it. I truly think if you do not love yourself then no one will love you the same. You have to know of your talents and what you can do. You have to be able to walk in a room and be confident that you are the best at what you do in the room. But you have to be humble about it, you have to know that you are the best because God made you the best, he gave you that talent. If it wasnt for God then you wouldnt be what you are.

Don't forget that humbleness doesn't mean seeing yourself ABOVE others as the best, even if you believe God made you the best. Humbleness is defined as not proud, but modest. And also remember that humbleness also includes the ability to LISTEN to others and take their advice, so to not write them off. Just some thoughts.
Yes you have to love yourself to love others- you can't hate yourself, because you are part of God's creation. If you hate one part of creation then being created by God becomes an inadequate reason to love those we dislike.
But like Kristin said: loving yourself doesn't mean loving yourself more than others. In fact the order is God, others, yourself.
God gives us gifts for His glory, not our own. The moment we think we are being humble we drop our humility for pride in our humility and gifts.
"...but in humility consider others better than yourselves." Philippians 2:3
I have to really watch myself with that and make sure I'm keeping my pride in check, not checking the amount of humility.
