It's hard to look at everything in perspective, knowing that it all is ok and works out and that we shouldn't worry too much. God provides well. Whats hard is to sit in a room with the person you would think would be the most understanding and faithful, and to hear him have no faith at all. Whats hard is to listen to a man speak about what is right, and to know that he has no clue what right is. Its hard listening to this man, to have confidence in him or anything, because in the end it wont matter. In the end, he will still be on his high horse and you will be in the exact position you are already in, if not worse. In the end you still will not have enough confidence to tell him exactly what you think and feel, and everything will just keep going forwards while you go backwards. I hate this knowledge. I dont want anything to do with it, I just want things to be simplier.

Psalms 43:18-19
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

Have you ever thought that maybe this man knows something that he is trying to pass down to you so you don't have to learn it the hard way? When people give advice or lay down rules most of the time they do it because they are trying to keep you from getting hurt or from hurting others. One of the first things I've learned in College is that people use force or rules for your own protection. There are reasons that those rules are there, just the same reasons there are warnings on warning labels; because stupid people have done it and now they have to warn others so they won't hurt themselves or others.
I think that you might be making a situation more complicated than it is supposed to be. You are demanding faith out of others but at the same time not having any of your own. If you need to speak up and ask questions, I’m sure that this person would help and might even explain his actions to you. You’re discrediting a man’s opinion because it doesn’t match with your own, which is sad because you demand understand out of him and yet you give no understanding in return. Try to step out of your perspective and try to see it from an outside view, whatever the issue is. Maybe he might seem like he's on a high horse to you, but maybe he's seeing factors to the bigger picture that you haven't seen yet. I rarely think that people say things that they haven't thought about and it is even more rare for those who don't try to help others when they can. Whatever he said was probably said for a reason and it was probably meant to help you not hurt you.
Good Luck and I pray that God helps you with your relationship with this person that has upset you.
